We were just finishing Thanksgiving dinner- he had figured it just right. From halfway around the world! Rickey talked to his Mom on speaker phone. Suddenly- so close- Rat Tat Tat there was no mistaking bullets on metal! Where did they come from? I looked around our living room, we had no metal.

His Granpa’s face turned ashen- he heard that sound when he was chased and shot at- in a jeep in Italy.

Another burst -- bullets hitting metal. Alicea screamed and ran outside. Shirley followed her with that Rat Tat on metal. Rickey hollered, "I'm all right" and hung up.

Rickey soon called back and apologized. He said that he was in a truck alone, driving down the road. Like his Granpa- he wondered how he missed getting hit.

And we wonder why he had PTST. First he was in classes and then he became a teacher in army PTST classes.
