Memories Of Richard – by Louise
It was 100 degrees last summer. There was a little breeze, I had all the doors open and I wasn't too hot. Of course I didn't have the big central air conditioner on. But it did come roaring on. I called Richard in Oklahoma City and asked him why it come on. He told me that it was much hotter in the attic, and it had turned itself on. For me to let it run for a minute and then it would let me turn it off. That has happened several times, and I can always turn it off. I usually turn on my good big air conditioner- when my pampered kids come to see me.
Last summer I jumped off our boat dock into the four-foot water. I had my arms at my side and I went straight down, but I jumped too close to the dock and the wood barely scraped my arm, all the way from my wrist to my elbow.
I walked into the house with the blood barely oozing. Annette, next door, she saw me and wanted to bandage it for me. I thanked her and told her that I was going to call Richard. He said for me to pour some olive oil in a plate and put in several drops of T tree oil. Stir it with my fingers and rub it onto my arm and it would stop any infection. I told him that I didn't have any olive oil, would coconut oil substitute? He said, "Yes, coconut oil could be substituted for any other oil, in anything." My arm healed like magic, no bandage. I can see some tiny little scars on my soft arm.
I asked Richard "How close can I stand to my microwave." “As far back as you can."
Tommy puts one or two drops of T tree oil on his toothbrush, no cavities. He likes it. His family too, Richard's idea, of course.
When I set in my front bathroom, right there beside me- are two brown cherubs, on my shower curtain over the bathtub. Richard said, "Mom, you always did like babies."
